Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Caliber Cerritos Spray Foam Insulation website and any estimate or work you get from us. By using this site, asking for an estimate or scheduling a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you go further.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site, and call us at (562) 307-9067 so we can talk it through. Anything we both sign for a specific job, such as a written estimate or contract, wins over these general terms where the two differ.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Cerritos, CA, and we work in homes and businesses in Cerritos and the cities around it. Our work includes spray foam, blown-in and attic insulation, insulation removal, air sealing, crawl space work and vapor barriers. You'll find the full list on our home page and more about our crew on the About page.

What we describe on this site is general. The work we do at your house is set out in your written estimate, because every attic, wall and crawl space is different and we only know what yours needs once we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

Our on-site estimates are free and come with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit, and it's good for the period written on it.

Some things only show up once the job is open, like old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, hidden gaps or framing damage. If we find something that changes the scope, we stop, show you, and get your okay before doing extra work or charging more.

Prices, photos and descriptions on this website are for general information. They aren't an offer, and only your written estimate sets your price.

Scheduling, rescheduling and canceling

We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays, access problems or a job before yours running long can push a date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (562) 307-9067 as early as you can, so we can give the slot to someone else. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, you may owe for those costs, and your estimate or contract will say how that's handled. California law may also give you a right to cancel certain home improvement contracts within a set window, and nothing in these terms takes that away.

On the day, we need clear access to the attic, crawl space or work area. Some products need the house empty for a while, so we'll tell you before we start when you, your kids and your pets need to be out, and when it's safe to come back. Please follow that, because it's for your family's safety.

Payment

Your estimate or contract spells out what's due, when it's due and how you can pay. Any deposit we ask for will be in writing before work starts.

Payment is due on the terms you agreed to. If a balance stays unpaid, we may charge reasonable collection costs as the law allows and as your contract says.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back out and make it right.

Any written warranty on a job, from us or from a product maker, is the one that applies, and it only covers what it says. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, like roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, other trades working in the area after us, or changes someone else makes to the work.

We can't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set temperature in a given room, because those depend on your house, your equipment and how you use them. The information on this website is general and is provided as is, without any warranty, to the extent the law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Caliber Cerritos Spray Foam Insulation isn't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost income or lost use of part of your home, that come from using this website or from our work. For a specific job, our total liability is limited to what you paid us for that job.

Nothing here limits liability that California law doesn't let a business limit, such as for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

If we disagree

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call us first at (562) 307-9067 or reach us through the Contact page. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we're both looking at the same thing, and we'll try in good faith to do that before anyone goes further.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us can take it to small claims court or to the courts in Los Angeles County, California.

Which law applies

These terms, and any job we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would point to another state's law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the new version applies once it's posted on this page. The terms that were in place when you signed your estimate or contract still apply to that job.

Questions about these terms

If anything here is unclear, call us at (562) 307-9067 or send us a note through the Contact page, and we'll explain it in plain words.
